Vitamin B6 Injection

[Drug Name] Vitamin B6 ljecion
[Specification] 2ml: 100mg
[Composition] Each ampoule of 2ml contains: Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hyrochoride) 100 mg
[Characteristics] A clear, colourless or pale yllw liquid.
[Indications ]
1. It could be used in treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency, prevention and cure of poisoning by isoniazid; also
used in the treatment of vomit caused by pregnancy, radiation disease and anticancer drugs, dermatis
seborrheica etc.
2. It could be used to recruit vitamin B6 deficiency for total parenteral alimentation and malnutrition caused
by nsuficient intake, gradual weight loss.
3. The required dose of witamin B6 needs to be increased in under situations: women in pregnancy or
lactation, hyperthyrea, bums, long-term and chronic infection, fever, inbom dysbolism diseases
(cystathioninuria, high carbonite ilness, homocystinuria, xanthine aciduria), backward heart failure,
long-term hematodialysis, malabsorption syndrome accompanied with liver and gall systemic diseases (such
as alcoholic poisoning accompanying with hepatic cirhosis), intestinal tract diseases (celiac disease, tropics
stomattides intestinal, segmental enteritis, continual diarthea), postgastrectomy.
4. Hertage dependence syndrome of vitamin B6 of the newbom.
[Seication] 2ml: 100mg
[Usage and administration]
Hypodermic, intramuscular or intravenous injection, 50mg ~ 100mg once, once daily. When it is used fo
detoxication of poisoning by cycloserine, 300mg or more daily should be given. When it is used for
detoxication of poisoning by isoniazid, 1g of vitanin B6 should be given by intravenous injection for 1g of 
isoniazid.
[Adverse reactions]
Vitamin B6 almost doesn't produce toxicity under normal renal function, Rarely alegic reaction may occur.
Administration of 200mg daily last for more than 30 days, may lead to dependence syndrome.
Contrindiations] Unknown
[Precautions]
1. Therapeutic efect of vitamin B6 against the under situations have not been verified: acne and other skin
diseases, alcoholic poisoning, asthma, renal calculus, psychosis, hemicrania, premenstrual tension,
stimulating milk secretion, poor appetite. It is not suitable to use large dose of vitamin B6 to treat the
diseases whose therapeuic efct has not been verified.
2. Vitamin B6 may afect the therapeutic efet of larodopa against Parkinson's disease, but could not afeet
the therapeutic efct of carbidopa.
3. Interfere vith diagnosis: may cause urobilinogen test show false positiv.
[Pregnancy and lactation] Large dose of vitamin B6 to pregnant women may cause dependence
syndrome of vitamin B6 of the newbom. The normal dosage to women in lactation has no bad efct on
infants.

[Interactions]
1. Chloramphenicol, cycloserine, ethionamide, immunodepressant including adrenal cortical hormone,
cyclophosphamide, ciclosporin, isoniazid, penicllamine etc. may produce rvalry against vitamin B6 or
increase excretion of vitamnin B6 through kidney, which may lead to anaemia or peripheral neuritis.
2. Dosage of vitamin B6 should be increased to patients receiving estrogenic hormone.
3. Small dosage of vitamin B6 (5mg daily) accompanying with levodopa could produce rivalry against
anti-trembling action of levodopa.
[Overdosage]
Administration of 2-6g daily, last for months, may produce severe sensory neuropathy, progressive instability
of gait to foot anesthesia, hand siff, these symptoms may be relieved after discontinuation, but may still
feel weak.
[Storage] Preserve in well cosed containes (below 30 C), prolected from ight.
