Cataract is common among the aged. It is most important cause of blindness in ophthalmology. For a long time , there has no satisfactory therapeutic measure for cataract with the exception of surgery. COMPOSITION:
One tablet contains Pirenoxine sodium 0.8mg. Pirenoxine sodium is the active component for cataract.
Solvent 15ml each squeezing bottle. The solvent is an isotonic , buffered solution , which is used specially for dissolving the pirenoxine sodium tablet , it has the function to stabilizing the active component in the tablet.
ACTION:
Bichemical researches have recently been done in elucidating the etiology of cataract, it has been proposed that cataract develops in case the soluble protein in lens gradually convent into insoluble preteins owing to the action of quinoid substances. Quinoid substances turn up as a result of the abnormal metabolism of tryptophan an important amino acid in physiological function. The action of quinold substances upon the soluble protein in lens is found to be inhibited competitively by Pirenoxine sodium the active component of this preparation. Therefore administration of Pirenoxine sodium Eye Drops is effective to prevent the advancement of cataract.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
The preparation supplied in special form of two separated parts , a tablet containing the active component and a bottle of solvent for the tablet. Dissolve one tablet in the attached 15ml solvent before application.
DOSAGE:
Instill 1-2 drops of prepared solution, 3-4 times a day.
PRECAUTIONS:
1. Once the tablet is dissolved in the solvent , the prepared solution must be used up without cessation within 20 days.
2. Don't hold the bottle's mouth touching your eye when you drop the solution. Avod to pollute the solution.
3. Precaution: Preserve in well- closed , light-resistant containers. The prepared solution may be carried by patients for use it they are out.
